In 2016, Adelaide’s much-loved Woolworths Carols by Candlelight will be proudly presented by QBE and the Government of South Australia. Celebrating an incredible 72 years, the spectacular Christmas event will take place on Sunday, 11 December at Elder Park.

Ah, Christmas. That magical time of year when we sing songs about frosty snowmen and frightful weather. Only problem is, for half of the world, those things don’t sound like Christmas at all. So Air New Zealand decided to balance out the festive season with Summer Wonderland, a tune we can get behind here in the Southern Hemisphere – Featuring Ronan Keating and Julian Dennison.

The spectacular Woolworths Carols by Candlelight is South Australia’s largest Christmas concert, kicking off the festive season in joyous celebration with more than 30,000 people expected on the banks of the River Torrens at Elder Park.

Festivities kick-off from 2pm with an array of family-friendly activities sure to keep everyone entertained. As the sun goes down our stars will come out to grace the stage.

Woolworths Carols by Candlelight gives everyone the opportunity to spread Christmas joy through helping Novita Children’s Services provide a variety of communication devices and communication books for kids. Some kids living with disability find it hard to talk and choosing the right system to help them communicate can be an expensive and daunting experience for parents. There are many different options, and no single device is suitable for all children. Providing communication devices for children to try out for free will give them the very best opportunity to find their voice.

Please help Novita buy a variety of communication devices to help their kids by giving generously online or with a donation on the day.

This year, South Australian’s can re-live every moment of South Australia’s favourite Christmas event when the show is broadcast on Channel 7 on Monday December 12 at 7.30pm
